A PUNCH IN THE FACE

A PUNCH IN THE FACE (EINS AUF DIE FRESSE) is a play written by the famous German screenwriter Rainer Hachfeld in 1996, which describes the situation prevalent today in many Greek  high schools. The book conveys intimidation using verbal, psychological and physical violence, where abusers and victims alternate and where theft and beatings occur. All this is shown within the context of the family environment where there is indifference and imbalance, but also in the school setting as well. The play can shake up parents, educators and even the children themselves so that they take on their share of responsibility.
