The Stranger House

Having watched a play about a scandal surrounding orphans who were sent to Australia from England becomes the reason for Sam - a brilliant mathematician - to look for her true roots. Mig - a historian who sees apparitions - is also searching for the truth about his ancestors. Their paths meet in Illthwaite, a sleepy village, where they will disturb the quiet life of the inhabitants with their investigations. Can a village keep its darkest secrets hidden forever?

Betrayals, crimes and love stories come to light forcing the two heroes to put aside their differences in order to achieve their goal. Will each of them find the answers they are looking for regarding their past? What role do they play in the development of each other's story?
